My Early Days

I want to talk about my early days when I was a young kitten. I was born outside sometime at the end of September 2002. I have a sister. She is grey and white. She was bigger than me. Apparently my real mama was a long black cat. My sister and I were living in the bushes outside a company called Patheon in Toronto. When my step mama first saw me, she said it was cold and raining and my sister and I were huddled together. She said I was breathing heavily. Some nice people at Patheon captured me and my sister. We put up a big fight. We screamed, scratched and bit them. We wanted to stay in the bushes. A kind man named George took us home. He found a nice home for my sister. He couldn't find a home for me so my step mama said that she would take me in a month after she and my step papa moved into their new place. I had fun at foster George's. He has a dog named Baby and Baby and me got along very well. I made a lot of trouble for foster George though. I peed on his poinsettia plants. Another time I was sleeping underneath a blanket on the sofa and foster George sat on me. Boy did that hurt! Then another time I got stuck in a crevasse so foster George had to soap me up to slide me out. I also ate Baby's dog food. Foster George took good care of me. I have uploaded a picture of foster George. He is serving drinks to my mama's guests.

Why do people like to put stuff on cats?

I am not a frog! I am a cat! Look what my mama made me wear! I overheard her say to my papa that she wants to get me a sweater. I don't need a sweater. I have a really nice fur coat.

Yay! I had a bowel movement today!

Unfortunately, I've been blocked up the last few days but I finally had a good bowel movement today. I made my mama proud today. I just need to keep up the good work! I try really hard to be regular so I can avoid the dreaded veterinarian's. I don't like going to the vet's. I get very upset. Also, it costs my mama and papa a lot of money. I don't make any money so I have to totally rely on them to pay my bills.

My Goiter

I suffer from chronic constipation. I am on a high protein diet to control my blood sugar levels. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the fall of 2004. The high protein food causes me to become constipated. As a result, the vet has me on subcutaneous fluids because constipation can cause me to be dehydrated. Also, the fluids may help restore the electrolyte and fluid balance in my colon. My mama and papa give me my fluids twice a week. I received my subcutaneous fluids last night. It creates a temporary bump or goiter around my neck area. As you can see from the picture, my neck has a big bump on the right side.

I don't want to dance

My mama made me dance last night to "Gold Digger" and "Sexy Back". I was in a cranky mood. I didn't want to dance. I just wanted to lie down on my armchair. I got kind of mad so I lunged at my mama and I bit her thigh. I told her I was sorry later on. My mama also apologized for making me dance.
